Seriously- I've looked. I love doing it by myself. Though my neighbor was joking that she wanted to "put her stamp" on my haircut as well and kept threatening me with her dog shears (!!!). I do a very mathematical approach learned from many, many "salon games" that me andmy sisters would play.

1) separate head into quadrants, use clips to pin up
2) cut bottom back hair. This is the hard part.
3) lower each symmetrical quadrant and even
4) I like to thin/layer as I go
5) do the top hair/bangs
6) Check for even-ness

Granted, I'm really not the most critical customer in the Salon de Bains (bathroom).

Re: Cash Free Weekend

YOU CUT YOUR OWN HAIR?
that alone earns you a free scone. hah!

Re: Cash Free Weekend

Oh yeah- I've been meaning to read that. It sounds like something I would just hate to do, but I'm glad someone else tried it. I was almost pickpocketed in Beijing but thwarted it effectively by doing a basketball move. A dodge and sideways jump into traffic (3 tiny guys had triangulated me)

I actually think it's a good exercise to try to go cash free occasionally- to realize how much money we really need to get by day to day, on incidentals.

Re: Cash Free Weekend

>(an attempt to live without cash
>for 2 days, until my bank is open
>on Monday.)
>Sat 7:00 PM On way back from movie
>realize wallet has been lost/stolen.
>
hasnt this happened 3 or 4 times since
i've known you?

seriously, after reading those two lines
i was wodnering if this was something
hauled out of the archives for tax day
or something like that.
