If I could have found an email address for you, I would have sent this personally...
I recently moved to Irvine (to do my PhD at UC-Irvine) after living in San Francisco for seven years. I miss the city terribly. It is not that it is that bad here (okay, well it is Irvine, but it is better than I thought), but it is simply that San Francisco is one of a kind. I think I might be homesick if I was in Boston or New York, just in a different way.
Anyway, the point here... Your posts and pictures here and on the SF Metroblogging site both rip my heart out and make me feel great at the same time. You do a wonderful job of capturing what it is that makes San Francisco a place that it is easy to become bonded with.
