I was good friends with him in high school. We went to different schools but hung out with the same people outside of school. He was such a wonderful person and made me laugh so much. I am in shock and so sad that he is gone. Thank you for the article you posted.<br>~Deborah

Re: In Memoriam: Andrew Martinez

I have come to know Andrew today. I have a very sad feeling for him in the pit of my stomach because I just feel that he was not crazy. Instead, I am thinking he was ahead of his time (naked news...ever heard of it?) I find myself thinking how I wish I could have helped by offering him a home when he had none, or by offering to pay his bail when he went to the slammer. I am saddend that he felt the only way out was to take his precious life. To his family, I say to you the finest of gods blessings; May your troubles go down with each sunset and may your hopes rise with each new dawn..For Andrew, may you be in a warm and wonderful place, may you be free and may your soul be free, may you feel the rays upon your body..good night my sweet Prince!!

Re: In Memoriam: Andrew Martinez

thank you for the sweet story and sweet picture-momaicuki

Re: In Memoriam: Andrew Martinez

Thanks Chester. I have to say, I was more upset by the news than I thought I would be.

Re: In Memoriam: Andrew Martinez

A really touching post. My first reaction to the news was a sense of sadness that I found kind of surprising and it was nice to read something that gave more context to Andrew.
