Wrote about Andrew’s death, and my memories of him, here. Got an email from a friend that the public memorial is this Sunday, in Cupertino. “The memorial is set for 2 to 5 p.m. at Rancho Rinconada Recreation Center, 18000 Chelmsford Drive, Cupertino.”

I was just thinking last night that when babies are born, they are blank slates, ready to absorb, but when people die, they are taking away so much real value - their knowledge, their history, their impact upon the world. I guess it's that 'full circle' thing, and you can't not be okay with it - it's just how it is - but it's hard to bear the loss.
I'm sorry for yours.
