I'm apparently not geek enough. Realized this weekend that I'd created a service-disruption trifecta: reconfig'd my home wifi, transfered my domain reg/hosting and went mac AT THE SAME TIME.

now, nothing works. webpage down, ftp not connecting, email bouncing 'fatal error'. Gah!

Re: Post-MacWorld Write-Up

The dark side, you are such a geek. Yeah I saw some sweet laptop bags too. I took a photo to submit to Popgadget for Women - but for some reason (too much partying) haven't gotten around to it! You're right re: macworld deals, not that hot.

Re: Post-MacWorld Write-Up

also, that floating iPhone made me think of the Mona Lisa display at the Lourve. Too many people, clamoring to see too little of a thing. The setup alone made me do a 180.

Re: Post-MacWorld Write-Up

Get Parallels. Even if just to watch the whole desktop spin like a top to flip to the pc(dark)-side.

I pounded the carpet for about an hour, tops. I'm so not a crowd person. Did score a new laptop satchel, which I plan to totally trick-out with customized patches and embroidery. Yes, embroidery.

I was shopping to purchase, but honestly? 20-25% off isn't enough to get me THAT excited. Hit 40%, and you got me. Apparently, that's my magic number.

Oh, and I was frustrated by the conference-walkers, too, but eventually fell into it myself. It's like the california-stop - I said I'd NEVER do it, and then.. oh well...

Re: Post-MacWorld Write-Up

OK, you go to a conference in San Francisco, and you eat at the conference food kiosks. Why? Why? This is the land of good food!

They should have held the conference off until later in the year when the California Pizza Kitchen opens downtown. Now we're talking. Irvine's finest restaurant comes to San Francisco!

Is it February yet?
